Sally & Ridge’s Intimate Wedding at Ridge Rose in Chickamauga, Georgia

Some wedding venues feel like the right fit before the first guest arrives. For Sally and Ridge, even the name had a personal connection: Ridge Rose brought together the groom’s first name and the bride’s middle name, Rose. On October 17, 2026, they gathered about 60 of their favorite people at Ridge Rose–Hickory Hall in Chickamauga, Georgia, for an intimate wedding filled with mountain scenery, meaningful music, and plenty of personality.

North Georgia Weddings and Events provided DJ and MC services, basic dance floor lighting, and our tabletop audio guest book. From a family first dance decades in the making to a glowing late-night exit, this celebration showed just how much heart a smaller wedding can hold.

A mountain wedding venue with a personal connection

The open-air setting gave Sally and Ridge’s wedding a relaxed connection to the landscape around them. Mountain views framed the celebration, while timber, stone, and the charming stone building used as their getting-ready suite gave the day a distinctive backdrop.

Choosing a venue because its name echoes your own story is such a personal detail. Here, that connection was part of the reason Sally and Ridge selected Ridge Rose. With an intimate guest list, the setting let the people closest to them share the day together.

A first dance, and an anniversary dance 33 years in the making

Sally and Ridge chose Randy Travis’s “Forever and Ever, Amen” for their first dance. It was a fitting start to a reception where the music carried so much family meaning.

One of the evening’s most meaningful moments belonged to Sally’s parents. The wedding fell on their 33rd anniversary. They had originally eloped and never had the opportunity to share a wedding first dance, so Sally gave them that moment herself.

She sang an Elvis cover, “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” for her parents’ anniversary dance. Sharing an anniversary with their daughter’s wedding was already special; hearing her sing for the dance they had missed made it a highlight of the celebration.

Sixty guests, plenty of dance floor energy

An intimate wedding can still have a lively reception. Sally and Ridge’s guests brought their enthusiasm onto the dance floor, and the late-night clips capture how much fun everyone was having together.

Our DJ and MC coverage helped guide the celebration through its special moments and into open dancing, with basic dance floor lighting adding movement and color as the evening went on. The guest count never kept this group from enjoying themselves.

For their exit, Sally and Ridge turned up the energy with an EDM version of Katy Perry’s “Firework” and LED light-ups. It gave their send-off a bright, playful finish that suited the fun they had been having all night.

The tabletop audio guest book: familiar voices to keep

Alongside the music and celebration, our tabletop audio guest book gave guests another way to leave something personal. They could pick up the phone, hear the couple’s greeting, and record a message in their own words.

That might be marriage advice, a favorite memory, a joke, a song, or a simple “we love you.” The value is in hearing the person say it: their laugh, their delivery, and the little details that make their voice familiar.

The finished keepsake includes a custom web player created by North Georgia Weddings and Events. Sally and Ridge’s Memory Radio brings their recordings together in a personalized listening experience, with their original greeting, individual guest messages, search, playback controls, and a radio dial for browsing.

Select Begin Listening to hear their greeting, then explore the messages below. You can also choose Play All Messages or select a particular recording. This real wedding example is shared with the couple’s permission.

Their delivery also includes individual guest recordings, a complete audio guest book, a complete video keepsake file, and a guide explaining how to enjoy everything. The complete video file is a way to watch the presentation of their audio memories; Sally and Ridge booked the tabletop audio service, so it should not be confused with guests recording on camera.

Audio or video guest book for your own wedding?

An audio guest book preserves spoken messages through a familiar telephone experience. A video guest book adds the chance to see guests’ expressions and personalities on screen as they record their wishes. Both offer a personal way to revisit the people who celebrated with you.

Sally and Ridge’s wedding is a lovely example of how the audio option fits into an intimate reception. Guests can leave a message during the celebration, and the couple can return to those voices long after the last song.
